Cesar Rodriguez

If you haven’t heard of Cesar Rodriguez, you’re in for a treat. He’s one of the top network marketers in the United States, and he does an incredible job explaining how one person he recruited overcame his fear of prospecting.

I was shocked how simple this is, and can attest to how well it works, because before ever seeing this video… I did the same thing.

It worked great.

What I love about this is that Cesar turns something seemingly insurmountable – like cold market prospecting – and turns it into a simple, easy baby step.

And then gives a solid example of how it plays out once you’ve mastered that baby step.

About the Video

I agree with everything Cesar says, except for this:

“You can’t say the wrong thing to the right person.”

I think what Cesar is trying to convey by saying this is simply: RELAX. And I totally get that. – And agree with it.

But you can say the wrong thing to the right person when prospecting.

You can blow it, oh yes you can! (Ask me how I know.)

The biggest way to blow it is to not listen, to be focused on yourself instead of the other person, and to be pushy. Learn how to avoid coming off as pushy in this article.

 

Another Tip for Overcoming Prospecting Fear

Another thing I found really, helpful in a game-changing sort of way, was knowing how to answer objections.

Objections used to intimidate me big time.

But no longer.

The first thing to do is list out every objection you can think of. You’ll find it’s only about a dozen or so.

Then, follow the simple process of validate – ask – suggest. Here are the details for easily overcoming objections.

 

What’s Next?

Implement Cesar Rodriguez’s suggestion, taking as long as you need to, to become comfortable.

Make this a daily habit. Because small, consistent steps is how you’ll succeed.
