How to Talk About Your Network Marketing Business?

how to talk about your network marketing business

One of the most frequent problems network marketers have is figuring out how to start a conversation with someone and talk about your network marketing business.

And perhaps the worst advice I’ve ever heard was, “Don’t worry about it. Just talk to people.” This advice doesn’t tell how.

In this post, we’ll go into multiple ways of how to talk to people, and what exactly to say.

Real tools you can use. And pass on to your teammates and downline.

How to Talk About Your Network Marketing Business

To start us off, I got some awesome insights from French distributors in my business. What to know what works so well in Europe?

The simple phrase, “How are you?”

(Genius, isn’t it?)

Show an interest in others and become an expert at asking questions. Then when you find a need, ask if they’re *open* to hearing about a solution.

This one change along can be a huge game-changer.

But let’s not stop there. I have a few more phrases to share with you that show you more about how to talk about your network marketing business.

The Real Networking Secret

The real secret to getting really, really good at talking to people, is knowing what questions to ask, and being a very good listener.

Get really good at talking to people. Know what questions to ask, and be a very good listener. Click To Tweet

Start by practicing asking people questions about themselves. People love talking about themselves, so this is really easy.

The more practice you get at asking people about themselves, the better you’ll get at finding what their struggles are.

Useful Questions

In this video, I provide you with three questions, along with example of how to integrate them into a gentle question, so you don’t come off as pushy or desperate.

Did you find that last statement helpful? I like it because it’s sooooo gentle and yet so effective. And if you want to do deeper into buffers, go here for an in-depth discussion.

Also, here is where to sign up for the newsletter, as mentioned in the video.

You’re either rewarded or punished for the life you led before you started in your network marketing business. If you burned out your market before you began your (current) network marketing business in any way, shape, or form, then you’ll have a harder time starting off your network marketing business.

But it’s not impossible to make a fresh start. It’ll just take a bit more time and effort. But it’s do-able!

And don’t be reluctant to fail fast, fail often, and fail forward.

Go for it! 🙂

I can’t wait to share this post with the people I work with as it is what I teach them. Because its not about us but about them and how we can help them. Which is getting to know them.

Thanks so much, Glenda. I hope this helps others.

  • I’m not against marketing to one’s network (or as one creates a larger one), but those MLM (multi-level marketing) that camouflage (or not) as other schemes have me running for the hills faster than lightning strikes.

I get what your saying! Some MLMs and Direct Marketing businesses are helpful, like Tupperware and Mary Kay. There are also some out there (both businesses and individuals) that spread a bad name to the industry. Kinda like lawyers. – Thankfully, the only lawyers I know now are awesome, and a genuine credit to the profession!
